Deputies will still be available 24/7 during this time.
The deadline to pay your property taxes at the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office was May 15, 2020. Please contact the Anderson County Clerk's Office for more information.

You may use the drop box for business license and CCDW renewals. Business license applications are available on our website.
Please follow the instructions on the CCDW renewal notice and place in an envelope. You may apply for your CCDW or renew online at www.kentuckystatepolice.org.

2019 County Tax Bills
The Sheriff’s Office is responsible for collecting property taxes. Tax bills are mailed out to the property owners at the end of September and collection begins October 1st of each year. We no longer mail tax bills to mortgage companies. If you have questions concerning your tax bill please call the office at
(502)839-4021 between 7am-5pm Monday through Friday.
If you are 65 or older (or 100% disabled) please contact the PVA’s Office at (502)839-4061 to receive the Homestead Exemption.
October 1st – November 1st receive a 2% discount
November 2nd – December 31st face value of tax bill
January 1st – January 31st receive 5% penalty
February 1st – Close of business April 15th receive a 10% penalty + 10% Sheriff’s add on fee
Payment can be made in the form of check, cash or money order. Partial payments are not accepted at this time. Postmarks DO NOT apply, payment must be received in the office by the dates specified above.
